When choosing from the array of family caravan holidays on offer these days it is important to consider things like what activities you will want to do, what interests different family members have and what locations are family friendly.

For example, if one person in the family professed a severe dislike of the beach, you could quickly conclude that caravan holidays in the UK are out of the question but you couldn’t be further from the truth. The UK has so many places of natural beauty to explore, all offering an assortment of activities suitable for all ages and tastes; one of the UK’s most renowned inland areas of intrigue is The Cotswolds. This iconic region is full of quintessential English beauty and rolling rural landscapes, with Broadway – known as the “jewel of the Cotswolds” – at the heart of it. Less than 2 miles from Broadway village is Leedons Park, a family and pet friendly holiday park with newly refurbished facilities nestled amidst the Cotswolds and all its natural charms.

Broadway village is a small but historically significant village, developed around The Green and its tree-lined, grass-fringed main street which is home to many 16th century Cotswold limestone buildings. Broadway was once a stop for stagecoaches on the main route between Worcester and London but now it is a centre for antiques and the arts, following its popularity with artists and writers like Elgar and John Singer Sargent in the mid-19th century. There’s plenty more for the history buff of any age to enjoy as the local Worcestershire Young Archaeologists’ Club has found evidence of Mesolithic, Roman and Medieval settlements in the village, suggesting the village actually dates back about five centuries.

For those of you with a soft spot for sport, the area is popular for its horse racing and in particular for the Cheltenham Gold Cup week. If you are more disposed to enjoy art and culture, the Cotswolds offer both in abundance. Arts festivals and antiques fairs run throughout the year whilst museums (like the Gordon Russell Museum), the Broadway Tower, National Trust buildings like Snowshill Manor and English Heritage sites like the 15th century Church of St. Eadburgha allow you to rediscover history. Alternatively, families who prefer to get out and about can enjoy the extensive Cotswolds trails, the 35 acre Lavender farm in Snowshill and the views afforded by Broadway Hill, the highest point in the northern Cotswolds.

Back at Leedons Park, there are plenty of onsite amenities including a brand new leisure and office complex, an all-weather bowling green, a new indoor swimming pool, games room and social hall. The homes themselves benefit from facilities like full underground services and year-round residential staff.

So if you are looking for a family friendly holiday, with the convenience of a village location and the beauty of a rural retreat, Leedons Park in Broadway is the perfect holiday park for you.
